GeCCo, the Global eCollaboration Competition (GeCCo) is an international virtual 24-hour case study competition organized by IPMA Young Crew.
Let’s face it, one of the best parts of being in a global network of young project managers is the people you get to meet! Most of those contacts happen during our flagship event, the Global Young Crew Workshop, but attending an international event always has an economic barrier for many.
The world is going digital, which is why we have to be in the forefront of that wave in our networking, so we decided to organize an online competition that takes 24 hours and teams in which each team member comes from a different country! With different time zones, 24 hours is almost as three days! Interested? You can be participating, organizing it locally or bring it to the international level!
Why GeCCo:
– to bring together all YCs and enhance the cooperation between them,
– to spread awareness of the importance and benefits of virtual teams, especially among IPMA Young Crews,
– to increase the visibility of IPMA Young Crew and IPMA Young Crew projects.
Who: the project is addressed to all young project management professionals from officially recognized Young Crew countries, disregarding their experience or area of expertise. Participants are chosen among the national YCs that have registered to GeCCo.

The Project Management Championship is a 3 stage competition consisting of a qualification round, the national finals and the international final. The international final will be hosted each year by a different country.
PM Championships is targeted at full time students at higher education studying project related courses. Its core objectives are to enhance student involvement in the field of project management, to rise the interest in professional project management at a national and international level, as well as to advance the dialogue, the knowledge sharing and know-how between research and the business world.
This academic year the Project Management Championships finals will take place in Brijuni, Croatia during the Croatian National Conference between June 9th – 11th 2017.

The Global Young Crew Workshop is a three day event hosted by one of the many Young Crews around the globe.
The event aims to connect cutting edge trainers in the field of project management with students and young professionals from all areas united in their passion for Project Management. Interactive workshops, compelling keynotes and great networking events lie the basis for a workshop experience you can get hardly elsewhere.
Organized by different Young Crews, this event will always surprise you with a different venue each year. It gives you the opportunity to make a truly global experience meeting participants from all continents.
“The Global Young Crew Workshop is a unique opportunity to meet project managers from a wide range of cultures. The networking opportunities and the invaluable knowledge that we get, are with no doubt, something that I don’t want to lose in 2016.” Filipe Figueiredo, IPMA Young Crew Portugal
