YOUR BENEFITS:

  • You will take part in a training session to get to know the IPMA Project Excellence Model. Not only will you be able to use this in your position, but will also prepare you to assess projects if you choose to participate as a Project Excellence Award Assessor.
  • You will practice how to utilize the model to objectively assess projects to identify excellence and areas for improvement.
  • During the workshop you will gain valuable insights as to how an acting project team would assess a project, whether within your own organization or for an IPMA PE Award applicant. You will discuss methods, plans, procedures, matters of success and problems likely encountered during project planning and delivery.
  • You will have the opportunity to discuss and exchange views with experienced international colleagues during the training.
  • You will practice and develop the skills required to be able to carry out an unbiased assessment of a project. You will learn how to assess the excellence of the project management, define strong points, and areas for improvement. These skills will be useful for your organization and, potentially, for your customers as well.

YOUR DUTIES:

  • Participation in the Assessors Workshop for 3 full days
Engage in approximately 6 - 8 hours of preparation, which includes a real case study

If being chosen as an assessor for an IPMA PE Award team, you can look forward to an exciting learning opportunity which includes:

  • Individual Assessment: about 2-3 days
  • Team Virtual meeting with members of your team from around the world: 5 hours
  • Site-Visit with your team to see the project up close: 3-4 days plus travelling
  • Produce a Feedback Report: 2 days To aid you in becoming a quality project assessor, you will network with people from around the world with different backgrounds, approaches, and outcome experiences.
All travel, hotel and other related costs for participation in the 3 day workshop are at your expense.
Successful participation in the training in principle then elevates your certification to work as an Assessor if asked and available, working on one of the PE Award Applications in the current year’s Project Excellence Award cycle.

The confirmation of acceptance for and the participation in the training does not automatically imply or require that you will be chosen to act as an IPMA International Project Excellence Award Assessor for the actual Award Assessment.
